Rarotonga is the largest island of the Cook Islands and where we'll be spending the next week exploring! First step was jumping on our Jetstar flight to Rarotonga from Auckland, arriving at the airport it was clear how special this trip was going to be. The people of Rarotonga are so friendly, warm, personable and welcoming — even so late in the evening! Special thanks to Jetstar for helping us get to Rarotonga and show off this beautiful place! 🤍🤍jetstar.com/ Theres lots of Rarotonga hotels and resorts, but we knew Muri beach was a spot we wanted to be close to. Then we found Pacific Resort Rarotonga and instantly knew it would be a winner! Our flight arrived while it was already dark though, so we weren't initially able to see how beautiful the hotel resort setup was until the next day... as you would have seen, we were pretty bloody happy with it! Pacific Resort Rarotonga was kind enough to allow us to film their resort and take us out on a lagoon tour while hosting us, if you're looking at a trip to Rarotonga definitely check it out, it's the perfect spot on Muri Beach — 🤍🤍pacificresort.com/rarotonga/ Join our mailing list to get exclusive updates on our destinations & travel recommendations — 🤍danegerandstacey.com/friends ▬▬▬ T R A V E L F U L L -T I M E A 220 page guide covering everything you need to earn a living online, escape the 9-5 work grind and travel full-time sustainably like we have for 3+ years. Beautifully presented and edited...so professional makes me want to watch more. Interested in your editing class if still available....thankyou 🙏🌺😁
Nice. Our under 18s League team went there in the early 90s. It was still winter in Auckland, and we all wore our warm footy blazers and trousers (bad move), looking sharp etc and as soon as they opened those 747 doors on the tarmac those blazers come flying off!!! lol
I’m going to barefoot bar just for that happy hour announcement LOL
Jetstar hours look a little inhumane. But I saved about 200nzd on the fare compared to air new zealand
Absolutely gun on the coconut husk
Keep the nice videos going how does Tarp compare with other south Pacific islands.Jeff and Yvonne Colorado
Thank you for sharing your video on YouTube was awesome. I use to live in the cook island Arorangi village for 20years but now I base in Auckland for 30years. Now just going back home for holiday's every 2nd years. Love it no place like home.❤️❤️
Hi guys, amazing video!! I just wondering on what time of the year did you go to Rarotonga? Thank you 🥰❤️
Haven't been there for over 20 years. Will plan a trip there in the next few years. Been twice before. Seem to always get a sunburn there. There is an excellent skin lotion with lanolin and aloe vera that works wonders for sunburnt skin.
Now we are finally out of lockdown looking at planning a trip....is there anything adrenaline type stuff? Like surfing... jet skiing etc? And hello from Whangarei :)
No island on the planet can obliterate my depression.
*Thank you so much for sharing your travel experience to Rarotonga!! My grandparents are from here!! I've never been back to my homeland!! Very grateful for this!!
Love your videos I'm from the Cook Islands from tiny island Atiu 🏝
People from the Island of New Zealand dreaming of the Rarotonga Island life....must be nice.
Norwegian here. Been to the Cook Islands 3 times. A long way from Norway but so very much worth traveling to. Wonderful people and traditions. The Cook islands government needs to be careful though, and not commercialize the islands too much. I have seen a negative trends since my first trip to the islands in 2006. Oh and you can't travel to the Cook Islands and not visit Aitutaki.
FYI if you think Rarotonga is the real islannd vibe because there isn't a mcdonalds, kfc or starbucks you have been living under a rock. Fly to any of the other islands in the Cook Islands (aside from Aitutaki) and then we can talk about "the real islands." We dont spend our days relaxing and sipping on coconut water 😄😄😄
Kiwi here..love Rarotonga
