Cold cereal, cinnamon toast, and apple tea is a good breakfast for a Pitta. Vegetarian foods, in general, are the best for Pittas, as consuming red meat tends to heat the body from the fat. They should consume abundant amounts of milk, grains, and vegetables.
Carrots, asparagus, bitter leafy greens, fennel, cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts, green beans and bitter gourd (in very small quantities) are good vegetable choices. They become more digestible when chopped and cooked with Pitta-pacifying spices.
Tomatoes and other nightshades, such as potatoes, aubergines, onions, etc., are considered very Rajasic in Ayurveda. On top of this, tomatoes' high acidity can aggravate Pitta and Vata. Because they are in season during summer, which is a Pitta time of year, they can doubly irritate the fiery Dosha.Jul 30, 2018

Favor cool over warm or hot. Nourishing & light food must take precedence over dense or heavy food items. Dry food over liquid help curb pitta dosha. Mild drinks like fresh juices over hard ones like alcohol or caffeine based drinks work as a wonderful example of pitta pacifying foods.
